What was present before NASA FIRMS first flagged the fire?
The two blue 11:48 VIIRS polygons overlap all 56 Sentinel active-fire pixels detected at 12:33 and all 58 detected at 12:44. Later pass-coloured outlines show qualifying reconstructed footprints as the fire spread.
